What I do
My job is to help you to sort through the legal requirements, the personal needs and the thousand and one choices that you have to make when you decide to have a wedding ceremony.
We will discuss the essential things: love, marriage, how you see the future, as well as your favourite interests, music, songs and family traditions. I have a large range of readings, music and sample ceremonies to choose from, to help me to draft a ceremony that reflects the real you.
How I go about it
During the first interview we discuss what you are hoping for and what I can offer. This initial interview is free of charge. Couples need to make the choice of celebrant carefully, to feel they have found one who is on their wavelength. At the first interview I will give you a copy of the Notice of Intended Marriage form and a pamphlet summarizing the process I use. Prices are available on request. A written quote will be provided.
If you decide to engage me as your celebrant, a booking fee of $100 makes that booking secure. At a later interview I will draft a copy of the ceremony and check it with you. I continue to work with you until we are happy with the completed ceremony. A rehearsal close to the wedding date brings it all together.
On the wedding day I present you with a copy of the completed ceremony.
